About the Author

Torc began his path of heathenry as a child when he read the story about Thor’s hammer being stollen browsing, then in his teens, he happened upon an article about casting runes that suggested giving thanks to a god named Odin. A few years later that gods name caught his attention in a bookstore. Over the years that path had some twist and turns and a few side paths, but it always led back to the same interest in the heathen religion.

In 2001 he found that he was not alone in his early beliefs when he found Asatru via the internet. In the 16 years since then, he has been involved in the online community to varying degrees, was briefly involved with Theodish Belief (which left a lasting impression and interest in Anglo-Saxon heathenry) as well as a few local kindreds.

Between being involved as a co-founder of a few local kindreds that ultimately failed and learning that some of his views in regards to Ragnarok and the relationship between gods and man were frowned upon, he decided to turn his focus inwards towards his ancestors and local spirits.
